Who I am…

My name is Rebecca and I have been trading in vintage items and antiques since I was a child. My parents have always had a strong interest in antiques and decorating, and I grew up in a home filled with curios items and old furniture. I started buying and selling at carboot sales, then in my late teen years I rented a pitch in an antique centre in Topsham and worked there on the weekends. My Father and I even had a small shop in Topsham high street and organised little fairs in local village halls. I then went to The University of Lincoln and studied Graphic Design, I followed with a career in retail and sales administration. I have always loved old things and kept buying at fairs and auctions. When the Covid pandemic happened, I was furloughed and made redundant and I began buying and selling again, and did my first Shepton Flea market and I got the bug for doing fairs and I expanded my buying into France hunting for decorative rustic pieces. My style is a blend of rustic French finds with traditional English farmhouse furniture. The kitchen is my favourite room in the house and I mostly sell kitchen tables, painted cupboards and larders. Flower Street has allowed me to work alongside bringing up our daughter and caring for our needy lurcher.
